Youngs Rised Against the Local Parliament in Pazardzhik

About 100 people protested yesteday against the decission of the Local parliament of Pazardzhik city to refuse a gratuitous help by 12,6 mln. Euro for creating of a new trash depot. So closing the old depot and building a new one responsing to the EU standarts, will be possible to be build only with tax-payers money.

According to the standarts of the European Union the old one must be closed in june 2009.

The BNS activists said, that they are not suprised from the small number of protestors - "In Bulgaria a citizens' society is not existing. The time of people's rise will come when we all deep in trash."

At the demonstration there were also people from the local ecology inspection, where their expert weaved the advantages of building a depot now with money from the EU, and not as the regional deputies chose - "with private-public founds", which would be heavier for the citizens, but because of the low control could be easier mastered by the regional deputies.

At 17 july the Local parliament will vote and will take the final decission - "For or against a new depot with donated money from the EU". By exception on the session there will be reprensetatives from the Bulgarian National Alliance (BNS).
